Three Creeks Homestead

Located on a legacy working farm, this new gathering house and series of weekend bedroom suites is inspired formally by the Kentucky vernacular dwelling, the dogtrot. We extended this simple form across the meadowy site into what we refer to as the “Long House.” The design offers the extended family a place to be together and feel a strong connection to the land while also offering quiet spaces for relaxation. The architecture is intentionally clean and restrained, emphasizing form and proportion. Local materials such as regional stone and rough-sawn wood are used throughout, lending an authenticity that roots the building in its context. The result is a timeless structure that honors the agrarian heritage of the site while providing comfort for generations to come.
